Talk on Toilet

The four day meeting on toilet is going on in New Delhi, the capital of India which has been called A World Toilet Summit, in which more than 40 countries taking part. It is said that meeting will examine solution and technologies that can be used to provide a basic need for nearly half the world's population. According to source, 2.6 billion people around the world lack access to a hygienic toilet.

Bindeshwar Pathak of Shulbh International, says, "It is as important issue as anything". International is an NGO that promotes the use of low-cost toilet in India and is joint organizer of the Summit. It is said that in India alone, more than 700 million people have no access to toilets which have proper waste disposal system. It can be seen to anyone traveling around India by train.

The UN wants to remedy the situation by 2025.
